To all of our wonderful Students, Parents and Carers

In light of the Government and World Health Organisation announcements yesterday, it would be wholly irresponsible for us to continue with Swish classes for the remainder of the Spring Term.

Therefore, as of today, 17th March, we will be closing Swish early for the Easter School holidays.

There are just under 3 weeks left before the official Easter break which we hope to be able to make up next term, all things being well.

Although we might be hitting pause on our face to face interactions, this does not mean that we will be going offline – we are making plans to ensure that everyone remains fit, healthy and engaged with Swish and the Performing Arts online through our various digital channels so watch this space.

We will miss you all terribly so please do stay well, stay safe and remember that the show WILL go on.

Thinking of you and your families at this challenging time,

Kind Regards

Team Swish

There will be numerous questions that you will of course have – we have tried to include as many of these as possible below:

HOW DO I GET IN TOUCH WITH YOU?
As you can appreciate, nearly all of our full time staff will be working from home so our office phones will not be manned – please therefore use any of the following channels for communication: (our most instant 2 way communication is our Chat facility)

Chat – https://tinyurl.com/r7wk4y3

Facebook – www.fb.com/swishtheatreschool

Email – info@swishofthecurtain.com

WHAT HAPPENS ABOUT PAYMENT?
As mentioned above, we will be adding on 3 weeks of classes to next term’s schedule. We have the capacity to do this because of the way in which the academic dates fall this year.
The payment on 1st April is the final payment for this Spring term for those of you who pay in instalments – we have a duty of care to our employees and their families and desperately need to honour our financial obligations so that the strain on everyone’s lives is limited in this difficult time so we would urge you to honour this existing commitment.

If classes do not resume for the Summer Term by May 1st then all accounts will be paused and no further monies will be taken until such a time as life returns to ‘normal’. This will also be the time that any refunds due are processed. No refunds will occur before this time.

WHAT HAPPENS ABOUT FORTHCOMING SHOWS?
Our Early Stages show, Spoonful of Sugar, has been postponed until the Summer Term. All tickets will be transferred to the new date(s) once we have confirmation. We appreciate that for a small number of people, this was their final term at Swish – these issues/orders will be addressed at the same time that decisions are made regarding the Summer Term – ie before May 1st.

All being well, our existing Summer shows for all other students will go ahead as usual. However, tickets will not be released for sale until such a time as we have definite confirmation.

I’VE BOOKED AN EASTER COURSE
Unfortunately our Easter Courses will NOT be going ahead as planned. Refunds for these will be processed during April. This applies to our music video project.

I’VE BOOKED A SUMMER SCHOOL
All being well, our Summer Schools will go ahead as normal so all existing bookings will be honoured. If things change then we will be in touch straight away.

HOW CAN I ACCESS ONLINE RESOURCES?
All preparation for all of our classes is online in the Swish Folder on dropbox. We will however, be adding to this a variety of visual ways to practice the material over the extended Easter break and you will be updated of this as soon as it goes live.
